Our History
75+ Years in the Making
1949
ADi Group (Advertisers Duplicating, Inc.) was established in 1949. Doug Freeman, our current President & CEO, purchased the company in 1990.
For the first 54 years of our existence, ADi Group was exclusively a printing manufacturer who specialized in web offset printing. Our clients were publishing and direct mail clients in Iowa, Illinois, Nebraska, and Florida.
2004
In 2004, ADi Group expanded into being a print distributor. Some print items were still printed in-house, but we knew we couldn't do it all. So, through the development of strategic vendor partnerships, ADi was able to offer clients more printing options than ever before - some printed in-house and some outsourced to local partners.
2010
The next decade saw extreme growth as ADi Group expanded into offering web stores / e-commerce solutions for our clients. Envelope printing presses (jet presses) were added to our in-house equipment and a large warehouse allowed us to offer our clients storage so they could take advantage of bulk pricing without the concern of where they would store the items.
2013
In 2013, ADi Group entered the promotional products and custom apparel world. Clients were needing a trusted partner they could go-to for all their print, promo, and apparel needs, and ADi Group became the "one stop shop" for it all.
2019
As Doug looked into the future of ADi Group, he began assembling a new team of leaders to take ADi Group to the next level. He recruited a new generation of talent from different backgrounds – each bringing a unique set of skills to help grow the company and offerings for our clients.
Today
ADi’s staff is a great mix of seasoned team members who have been in this business for 20+ years, and new team members who have brought a whole new energy to the print, promo, and apparel industry. We enjoy welcoming new clients and expanding our services with our long-term clients.
The entire staff at ADi Group simply loves what they do, and we have fun every single day. When you walk in our doors, don’t be surprised if you hear roaring laughter or collaborative brainstorming sessions happening. We are creators for YOU and YOUR business goals.
ADi Group has accomplished so much in the past 75 years, and we’re not done yet. As we always say, we believe our best years are ahead of us here in Urbandale.
